Pilates Classes
Pilates Classes from September 2010
Joseph H Pilates invented his system of Body Conditioning exercises in the early 1900s. Designed to strengthen and tone muscles without building bulk, his exercises work on a range of movements to mobilise, strengthen, stretch and tone the body.
The Body Control Pilates® method has evolved from the work of Joseph Pilates. Their own unique exercises first of all teach the movement skills needed to gain full benefit from the Pilates method progressively, building to the level required to perform Joseph Pilates ‘classic’ exercises.
This method is effective and safe for most people of all ages and fitness levels from the first time exerciser to athlete as the exercises may be adapted to suit your own personal needs.
Practised safely Pilates improves core-stability by creating a girdle of strength in the muscles of the torso which in turn improves posture, helping your body appear more streamlined. This has an affect on your balance co-ordination and general fitness.

Working from the inside out your body becomes stronger and more flexible allowing you to move more naturally and with ease. The correct technique allows you to reach your full potential in a safe and controlled manner.
